Ms. Faautu Talapusi, Director of Youth of the World Council of Churches, and the Stewards of the IEPC led over 50 students to discuss and deliberate the themes of the DOV, encourage networking among youth, discover the ways in which Jamaica has been overcoming violence, and practice proclaiming peace and justice in an international forum.
To see some of the future peacemakers who have been brought to the IEPC and will be speaking out as a youth participant, play the video Youth Diversity at the IEPC, filmed by Desiree’ Kameka:

You can also participate! Bible Studies, working documents and worship materials for the IEPC are available on the resources page. Don’t forget: May 22nd is the first ever World Sunday for Peace which is a 24-hour celebration on peace. All churches and congregations are invited to use a peace prayer written by the Caribbean hosts of the IEPC in their worship that day.
We are looking forward to hearing from ALL participants and engage in their work to overcome violence in their communities…
